  • Why: There are few areas with more active research than gut health.     • First, we have probiotics. The specific strain we use is called Bacillus subtilis DE111. We chose this because it can withstand the heat of boiling water for up to 5 minutes. It also means that this strain can survive past the acidic environment of the stomach and actually make its way into the intestines (microbiome), where they can grow and thrive. 

    • Now let’s talk about prebiotics. These are essentially the food for probiotics. In order for the good bacteria to stay in your stomach and prosper, they need food. They have a pretty specific diet: fiber. The prebiotic fiber in this product comes from the South American root, Yacon, in the form of Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and inulin.

Swiss water is a 3rd party decaffeination process that uses only 3 elements to naturally remove the caffeine from the coffee beans: water, temperature, and time. Swiss Water®  is committed to using only the highest quality standards to decaffeinate coffee. They start with our organic, Arabica green coffee beans from Peru and use local, clean British Columbia water plus the variables of time and temperature to gently remove the caffeine before the coffee is roasted. The beans go through a 10-hour process where each of these 3 elements is monitored to ensure the taste and quality of the coffee remains, while 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.
