Our Quest for Supe-Level Energy, Focus, and Endurance
Superheroes aren’t born… they’re made. 🦸
Just ask The Boys™. In their world, ordinary humans can turn into “supes” with an injection of Compound V, a chemical serum that unlocks superpowers.
Which got us thinking… What if you could have real-life superpowers without an injection? Enter: Creatine Coffee.
In collaboration with Sony’s The Boys™ Season 5 premiering on April 8th, we crafted a supercharged brew made with Arabica coffee, lion’s mane mushroom, and creatine. 🍄🚀☕
No chemical serum. No crash. Just next-level focus, energy, and endurance for humans living superhuman lives. ⚡

Functional Fuel
Whether you’re trying to grow your muscles or your mind, mushrooms + creatine is as close as you can get to a supe supplement. So we added a clinically-backed dose of each to our latest brew. 💪🧠
Lion’s mane supports sharper thinking. Studies show that lion’s mane can significantly improve cognitive function, including concentration, processing speed, and overall brain health. Animal studies even show promise in lion’s mane’s potential to regenerate damaged nerve cells.
Creatine boosts brainpower and physical stamina. Your body naturally makes this compound and stores it in your muscles and brain, where it helps your cells produce energy when they need it most. Think of it as a built-in supercharger when your energy levels start running low. 🔋
Research shows that creatine supplementation can increase physical strength and lean muscle mass while improving cognitive performance, like working memory, making it a powerful ally for both body and brain.
Coffee that Hits Like Compound V ⚡
The Boys™ Creatine Coffee packs a supercharged lineup of clean, premium ingredients designed to unlock next-level energy, focus, and endurance:
- Arabica coffee: Single-origin ground coffee beans from small family farms in Honduras.
- Lion’s mane mushroom: 500mg of lion’s mane fruiting body extract per serving, tested for heavy metals, mold, yeast, pesticides, and more.
- Creatine: 5g of creatine monohydrate (the most widely-studied form of creatine) per serving to support strength and endurance.

Do Mushrooms & Creatine Really Work?
You bet! Lion’s mane has been used for hundreds of years, and cutting-edge research continues to shed light on its brain-boosting benefits. Creatine is one of the most researched supplements in the world, with over 500 peer-reviewed studies exploring its effects on strength, endurance, and cognition.
We added clinically-backed doses of both lion’s mane and creatine to every cup, because coffee for supes should actually have superpowers.
Lion’s Mane for Your Brain 🧠
The science behind lion’s mane
Lion’s mane contains two unique compounds that scientists believe are responsible for many of its brain-supporting benefits: hericenones and erinacines.
Hericenones are thought to stimulate the production of nerve growth factor (NGF), a protein that supports the growth, repair, and survival of neurons. In simple terms, NGF helps keep your brain cells healthy and communicating.
Erinacines can cross the blood-brain barrier (the same protective filter drugs and alcohol slip through), allowing them to interact directly with brain tissue. Lion’s mane is one of the only food sources with compounds small enough to have this impact.
Together, the hericenones and erinacines in lion’s mane can support brain cell health, cognitive function, and mental clarity.

An effective dose of lion’s mane
Research suggests that effective doses of lion’s mane extract generally fall between 500mg and 1500mg per day, depending on the person.
We extract 3,000mg of mushroom fruiting body at a 6:1 ratio, yielding 500mg of lion’s mane extract per serving, a meaningful dose of this brain-boosting mushroom in every cup.
What to look for in functional mushrooms
Make sure to get lion’s mane fruiting body that’s organic, third-party quality tested, log-grown, and properly extracted. It might sound like a mouthful, but each is essential for your body to absorb the maximum benefits. 🍄
Most active compounds in mushrooms exist in their fruiting bodies (the part of the mushroom you can see). Some brands use ground-up mycelium (essentially mushroom roots) to make cheaper products with little to no benefits (PSA: Watch out for terms like “full-spectrum” or “myceliated.”) That’s why we only use lion’s mane fruiting body grown on logs.
Mushrooms also need to be extracted for your body to absorb the benefits. That’s because of something in their cell wall called chitin. Chitin is the same compound found in crustacean shells (think lobsters and crabs 🦞🦀). It’s tough, so our bodies can’t always break it down. The only way to guarantee the absorption of mushrooms’ medicinal compounds is to extract them. That’s why Four Sigmatic uses a double extraction process using water and alcohol.
Finally, mushrooms are natural bioaccumulators, meaning they absorb and concentrate compounds from their environment. That’s part of what makes them powerful, but it also means quality testing is essential -- which is why our mushrooms are 100% organic and third-party quality tested for heavy metals, mold, mycotoxins, and pesticides.

Creatine for Power and Performance 💪
How creatine works
To understand creatine, you need to know about ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the main molecule your body uses to store and transport energy. Every time you move, lift, sprint, or concentrate, your body uses ATP.
But ATP runs out quickly.
That’s where creatine comes in. Think of it as a backup battery. When ATP gets depleted, creatine helps regenerate it so your cells can keep producing energy. The result: more readily available fuel to help you think sharper, train harder, and push further.
An effective dose of creatine
Research-backed protocols recommend 3g to 5g of creatine per day for a standard maintenance dose. At that level, it usually takes three to four weeks for your body to fully build up its creatine stores. That’s why our Creatine Coffee comes with 5g of creatine monohydrate per serving.
