Just when you think mega-dosing on caffeine is the only solution to a stressful, groggy morning (hey, we all have them), or afternoon energy slump, adaptogens step up to the plate.

Here, we add the occasional stress-supporting powers of tulsi and astralagus - found in our Adaptogen Coffee with Tulsi and Astragalus - to a not-too-sweet treat you can have with your breakfast, or even as an afternoon pick-me-up. Prepare yourself for blissful days. – Megan Patiry

Adaptogen Coffee Bliss Balls

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 cup almond or cashew nut butter
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 2 packets Adaptogen Coffee with Tulsi and Astragalus
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • Chopped pistachios, pine nuts, dark chocolate, and other toppings

 

Directions:

1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blitz until smooth.

2. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm the dough.

3. Roll the dough into 10 to 14 balls, then roll each ball in – or top each – with your choice of toppings (chopped pistachios, pine nuts, dark chocolate, etc.).

4. Be sure to store these in the fridge to keep them fresh throughout the week. Enjoy as part of a meal or as an occasional stress-supporting snack!
