Spiced Reishi Hot Cacao with Ginger

If you’re not already familiar with adaptogens, fall is the perfect time of year to get educated. In short, these incredible superfoods work with your body to support everything from immune function to occasional stress. One of my favorite ways to harness the power of adaptogens? Drink them! The recipe below features reishi an adaptogenic mushroom that could support occasional stress and better sleep, along with warming ginger. Make yourself a cup anytime you need to kick back and relax, or when you feel a cold coming on.

Spiced Reishi Hot Cacao with Ginger

Serves 1


  • 8 oz hot water
  • 4 oz coconut milk (warmed)
  • 1 packet Reishi Hot Cacao
  • 1 Tbsp carob powder
  • 1 Tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp powdered ginger
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt


Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend on high for 30 seconds, enjoy!
